New ultraBiox BNR high-rate wastewater aeration system for malting plant wastewater

Waterform is pleased to announce the successful installation of a new aeration system for a malting plant in Victoria, Australia. The new system has not only improved the quality of the wastewater but also increased the efficiency of the plant's operations.

The malting plant was experiencing issues with high levels of BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) in its wastewater, which was causing problems with the local council's trade waste agreement. Waterform identified the issue and recommended the installation of a new aeration system to improve the quality of the wastewater.

The new system, which includes fine bubble diffusers and an upgraded blower, has reduced the BOD levels in the wastewater to well below the required limit. This has not only ensured compliance with the trade waste agreement but has also resulted in cost savings for the plant by reducing the amount of trade waste charges.

"The new system has not only improved the quality of the wastewater but has also increased the efficiency of the plant's operations. By reducing the BOD levels in the wastewater, we have been able to reduce the amount of trade waste charges, resulting in significant cost savings for the plant."
